Keaton turns into party girl
Diane Garrett

The L.A. Conservancy's heated battle to save the Ambassador Hotel spurred Diane Keaton to throw her first ever party.

Thesp opened the doors (and hat-filled closets) of her 1928 Bel-Air hacienda on Saturday to industryites ranging from Sherry Lansing and Terry Semel to Steve Martin and Mike White.

"I had to get the film community aware of all the wonderful things the Conservancy does," said Keaton, a board member for the org, noting it took her 58 years to get ready for the occasion.

During remarks, the org's Linda Dishman reminded the crowd: "The rich history of the Ambassador is really the history of Hollywood."

Also on hand: Ed Limato, Curtis Hanson, Nancy Meyers, Raquel Welch and Alicia Silverstone.
