Steve Martin has married Anne Stringfield.

The former "SNL" funnyman gets married in a starlight ceremony.

"The Insider" breaks the news that STEVE MARTIN, 61, has gotten married to writer ANNE STRINGFIELD, 35, in a small, private wedding on Saturday!

Sources tell "The Insider" that the nuptials took place at Martin's L.A. home with a ceremony under the stars and an orange moon, and that the bride wore VERA WANG, while the groom reportedly sported ARMANI -- and his "Inspector Clouseau" mustache, as he is scheduled to begin shooting the sequel to 'The Pink Panther' shortly.

Ordained just for the occasion, former Nebraska Senator BOB KERREY officiated the "I do's," while "Saturday Night Live" producer LORNE MICHAELS was Martin's best man. Anne's sister served as maid of honor.

The distinguished guest list included the likes of TOM HANKS and wife RITA WILSON, DIANE KEATON, EUGENE LEVY, CARL REINER, MARTIN MULL, 'Father of the Bride' writer NANCY MEYERS, sleight-of-hand artist and actor RICKY JAY and Martin's agent, ED LIMATO.

After the ceremony, sources tell "The Insider" there was a private catered dinner (with some home recipes) for approximately 75 guests, and the bluegrass band HOT RIZE served up the music. At one point, Martin played "Foggy Mountain Breakdown," a Grammy-winning tune he played banjo on with bluegrass legend EARL SCRUGGS.

This is the second round for Martin, who was previously married to British actress VICTORIA TENNANT from 1986-1994. The pair co-starred in 1984's 'All of Me' and 1991's 'L.A. Story.' This is the first marriage for Stringfield.
