We hear that Steve Martin will soon wed girlfriend Anne Stringfield. Martin divorced Victoria Tennant in 1994 after eight years of marriage and went on to date Anne Heche. Stringfield, a one-time New Yorker writer, has recently penned articles for Vogue.

COMMENT: No, I don't know if it's true. But they've been dating now for nearly 5 years. He's pushing 63, and she's approaching 35. Maybe they think it's time.

# Steve Martin is finally going to marry former New Yorker staffer and former Derek Walcott assistant Anne Stringfield! [Rush & Molloy]
Former -- didn't know that. So now apparently she's a writer for Vogue Magazine. She did something about the "Vogue 25", but I haven't found a copy so I don't know the contents. The only reference I have so far is "brief article".
One thing for sure, if they do get married, she'll be the wife and no longer kept so under wraps. No more claiming that things to do with him invade her privacy. Maybe we'll hear more then. It's easier to be delicate and hidden when you're the girlfriend.

They got married yesterday (Sat, July 28th) at his home in LA. Seems she still wants to keep her privacy lol. -"Most of the roughly 75 guests — who included Tom Hanks, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Carl Reiner and Ricky Jay — were not told that he and Stringfield would wed when they were invited to his home for a "party," The ensuing nuptials were a surprise to them."
